Veteran Czech player Lukáš Zíb with a very impressive CV has decided to join Comarch Cracovia! The first opportunity to see him in action will probably be on Friday against Orlik Opole.

‘He is an experienced player that will make our defense even stronger, says Comarch Cracovia coach Rudolf Roháček. Heres the said experience in numbers: according to Eliteprospects.com in the Czech Extraliga alone the new Pasy player made 649 appearances racking up 240 points. ‘Lukáš has a great right-handed shot. Hes in full training so it should be easy for him to join the team. We really need him, adds Roháček.

Zíb started his hockey career at HC Českie Budejovice. He also played for HC Karlovy Vary, SERC Wild Wings (DEL), Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod, Molot-Prikamie Perm, Vityaz Chekhov (all three in Russia), Bili Tygri Liberec, BK Mlada Boleslav and HC Trinec. In 1995 he was selected by Edmonton Oilers in the 3rd round of the NHL Entry Draft.
