Comarch Cracovia joins the Alliance of European Hockey Clubs!

We are more than happy to announce Comarch Cracovia has joined the newly formed Alliance of European Hockey Clubs that will represent Europes ice hockey clubs.

The Alliance of European Hockey Clubs (EHC) seeks to bring together leading European ice hockey clubs. Its aim is to look after their interests and help grow the game of hockey in countries like Poland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Norway and Germany. It follows the concept of footballs European Club Association and hopes to strengthen the European teams role in the world of hockey.

Comarch Cracovia, the first Polish club set to play in the Champions Hockey League, has been asked to join the alliance. On the 13th of June the EHC will hold its first general meeting in Berlin which will be attended by the representatives of 65 clubs, including Comarch Cracovia.

‘European Hockey Clubs is a new alliance patterned after footballs European Club Association. In Poland Legia Warszawa is a member of the football organization and now our club has joined the one in ice hockey. EHC mission is to promote hockey in all countries, agree on a common stance towards companies that deal with commercialization and promotion of hockey and discuss issues concerning players, trainings or any problems which may arise. We are very glad we can participate in the project as together with the Polish Ice Hockey Federation we are trying to promote Polish hockey. The question is whether we will manage to engage more young people in hockey. I certainly hope so, says MKS Cracovia Chairman of the Board, prof. Janusz Filipiak
