Maciej Urbanowicz: If we do that, we are going to be champions
‘Were trying to think about the upcoming games and wanting to win a league title and were not distracting ourselves with what may happen later, says Maciej Urbanowicz ahead of todays game with GKS Tychy.
- Two home victories, two away defeats. Why do you do so much better at your own arena?
- Thats how it is in hockey and playoffs. I think we are more confident when we are playing home. We know every nook and cranny of our arena as we train here every day. What is more, our fans are here. It is always some kind of an advantage. We did our best in the regular season to finish at the top pf the table as we knew it would give us more home games in playoffs.
- If you win today in Cracow and lose on Thursday in Tychy, the deciding game will take place at your home arena.
- Yes, and that may be of great importance. The semifinal games against Sanok proved that we are a much better team when we are playing at our own arena. The truth is, maybe we got through to the final because we played more home games than our rival. I hope we are going to win all remaining home games and if we do that, we are going to be champions.
- The Polish champion will enter the Champions Hockey League competition. Does it make you even more motivated to win the next games?
- Were trying to think about the upcoming games and wanting to win a league title and were not distracting ourselves with what may happen later. We have our goal and were trying to keep our eyes on where were going. Well do everything we can to win two more games in the PHL final and become Polish champions.
