Petr Šinágl can be dubbed one of the heroes of yesterdays victorious game against GKS Tychy. The Czech player returned to the ice after an elbow injury and in his first match had two goals and one assist.

Finally you won against GKS Tychy! You must be extremely happy!

- Yeah, for sure. We will be more confident before the play-offs now that we proved we can defeat anyone, including GKS Tychy. Obviously its just one game but it was important for us to break the losing streak against GKS.

You lost to Tychy 6 times this season. What was different in your game tonight?

- We started the match with an aggressive mentality and scored early on. That was essential to us winning. Later we added two more goals and controlled the game from then on.

You did exceptionally well today and that was after you were out for two month with an elbow injury.

- The coach formed new lines which had the desired effect as we understood one another very well. I hope we will see more of that in the next games. We still have two more fixtures ahead of us and we want to stay in good form during the three-week break.

Everyone was quite surprised when they found your name in the game roster. It has been said you would be back for the match against JKH on Friday.

- We discussed it with the coach and came to a conclusion I can try and play with Tychy. It turns out we made a good decision, which was reflected in the final score.

Not only did you win, but you also made sure you are first seed before the play-offs.

- The end of the regular season was really difficult, but fortunately we managed to win three points. However, we shouldnt pay too much attention to the place we finished in. Play-offs are some kind of a whole new season. We will have to prove our worth and whether we have what it takes to be champions.
