Jaakko Turtiainen joins Comarch Cracovia
Jaakko Turtiainen was born on March 5, 1991 in Finland. He is characterized by his good physical conditions - at the height of 182 cm he weighs 86 kg. Turtiainen is left handed, but he can play on both sides of the attack.
Our new striker had played in Finland mens national junior ice hockey teams. Turtiainen played in 47 games overall in all different age groups. In addition, he won the bronze medal of IIHF World U18 Championships in 2009. Jaakko spent almost his entire career in his country, where he had played in 202 matches of Liiga (top professional ice hockey league in Finland), in which he achived 35 points for 13 goals and 22 assists. Turtiainen played also in the second-highest ice hockey league in Finland - Mestis. While playing there, he scored 32 goals and had 25 assists in 114 games. Jaakko has played in such Finnish clubs like HIFK, HPK, Jukurit, Peliitat and SaPKo.
Our new player started this season in Erste Liga. He played in Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák and achived there 28 points (12G + 16A).
- I decided to join Comarch Cracovia, because I am looking for the new challenges. I also want to play in good clubs that are fighting for the highest goals. I promise to do my best! - said Turtiainen just after signing the contract that will be value till March 31 of this year.
