Rudolf Roháček: We caught the rhythm from the second part of the game
In the first period, Toruń played better than us and our players had heavy legs. We caught the rythm from the second part of the game and since that moment, we were the better team - summed up Comarch Cracovia coach, Rudolf Rohacek, after the game against Energa Toruń.
What do you think about the game?
In the first part of the match, you could see that the players had heavy legs and kind of didnt got out of the bus. Toruń was a better team then. Our goalkeeper was very good, he saved a lot of dangerous shots throughout the match.
In the second period we played way better...
The players caught up with the rhythm of the match and it looked much better. We took a lot of shots, but goalkeeper of the Toruń team also did very well today. In the third part of the match, we could play only with three fives and the equalizer came as the result of it. We played better than our rivals then, but unfortunately, we still have problems with efficiency. Sometimes you can win the match by scoring small amount of goals, but you cant play like that the whole season.
In addition to the lack of efficiency, we caught a lot of penalties, including one technical for too many men on the ice. Do you warn our players about this aspects of the game?
We are working on it. The technical penalty was just a coincidence. We have to calmly analyze this match, because we made some unnecessary fouls. We cant provoke rivals, because later, it costs us a lot of strength and as a result, the match is not always going our way. As I mentioned, we will work on it and I hope that in the next games we will play much better.
And what do you think about the performance of young players? In this season, a lot of them play in the first team.
Certainly, we need to give them some time. They are in the team, they are playing matches and showing themselves from the good side. They show unusual ambition, but they must acquire experience that will probably come with more games played. They are one of the best Polish hockey players in their categories. There is still a lot of work to do, but if they continue to improve themselves, they will help us a lot.
