Two defencemen and a forward with NHL experience join Comarch Cracovia

Czech Petr Chaloupka, Latvian Nikita Kolesnikovs and Russian Pavel Vorobyev became the new signings of the Polish Champions!

31-year-old defenceman Petr Chaloupka spent almost his entire career in his native Czech Republic, but played also in Slovakia. In 2014-15 season he was a team member of HC Litvinov, who won the Czech league championship title. Chaloupka spent the first part of the ongoing campaign in Slovak MsHK Zilina, where he recorded 9 points in 29 games.

Nikita Kolesnikovs is a 25-year-old defenceman from Latvia who has a few different leagues in his hockey resume. After leaving his native country for Canada and playing in the QMJHL, he got some experience in Slovakia, Sweden and Norway among others. One half of the last two years Kolesnikovs spent in Canada again playing for Saint-Georges-de-Beauce COOL-FM, the other in Edinburgh Capitals playing in the EIHL.

The other incoming player from the Scottish capitals team is Pavel Vorobyev. 35-year-old Russian has a lot of experience and titles under his belt. In 2000 he was drafted 11th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks and played 57 NHL games in his career. Vorobyev became the champion of Russia in 2002 and 2003 with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and later on played over 200 games in the KHL. He played the last two seasons in Edinburgh and was one of the teams most productive players. Before coming to Comarch Cracovia Vorobyev recorded 32 points in 36 games played in EIHL this season.

All three players signed contracts until the end of the season and will help "Pasy" defend the Polish championship title.
