Last week Comarch Cracovia went back to training. We talked to the head coach Rudolf Roháček about the training sessions and his take on the new season challenges.

- A few days ago Comarch Cracovia started getting ready for the next season. How do the trainings look like?

- Right now the training sessions are designed to prepare the team physically. The first part of the preseason trainings will last till the end of May after which the players will get a week off. Then we will train till the end of June and starting with July 11 we want to be back on ice. We still dont know if it will be in Poland, Czech Republic or Slovakia.

- When will the national team players join Pasy?

- They will join us next week. When it happens we will have the whole team except for some players who are yet to be signed by the club.

- This year Cracovia are back in training sooner than ever.

- Thats true. Because of the Champions Hockey League, which starts mid-August. we needed to start getting ready sooner than usual, but it doesnt mean the trainings are going to be more intense. Of course, we remember we also have to prepare for the Polish Hockey League season. The players are doing their best during training, they all know that the games that are ahead of us are not going to be easy.

- You are known for unconventional training methods. Last year the team went canoeing - what can we expect this time?

- Im sure we will also do some canoeing, we will use weight vests. Ill try to think of something inventive!

- What are your thoughts on our rivals in the Champions Hockey League - Sparta Praha and Färjestad BK?

- We will approach these rivals with great respect but also quite enthusiastically. We have nothing to lose and a lot to gain. We dont think we are destined to lose, we will do everything we can to show our best side.

- Sparta and Färjestad are great clubs with quite different budgets than ours.

- Thats true. However, we may turn it into our advantage as nobody will bet on us wining. To provide an example, during this years World Championship Switzerland, who have five NHL players, lost to Norway. I believe we can cause a surprise!
